4 Things to Remember to Successfully Obtain Economics Diploma

September 16th, 2011 | kissdiana77

There are numerous definitions of the term economics, online. But in the simplest sense, they all refer to economics as management of resources. These resources range from personal, like for instance your monthly income, to the large scale level, such as a country’s resources. The interesting fact is how economics reveals, and explains the relationship between all those resources. This is perhaps one of the reasons why many are attracted to studying economics. If you belong to that league, below are the things you need to remember to obtain that diploma in economics.

Cramming will do no good

To some, working on a rush is more ideal. In economics classes however, this is not advisable. Economics include math courses such as statistics and accounting subjects. You will have to pay attention in lectures to ensure learning.

Courseworks will involve problem solving, critical thinking, and analogy. Take down notes but do it sparingly. Meaning, use your notes to help you remember significant parts of the lesson, and not to avoid meeting your professor’s eyes. Remember it does not end with jotting down notes. Review lessons, and practice solving problems on your own.

Make your presence felt

Participate in class discussions. Raise your hand if you wish to clarify something. After all, as they say, the only stupid questions are those that are not asked. Yes, you can consult your peers but it is still different getting information firsthand.

Maximize the time your mentors are available to attend to your concerns. They may be difficult to catch outside your class. Create a list of all your queries so you will not forget asking about it.

Prepare for exams

Do not rely on stock knowledge in answering exams. Plan a study schedule. It is typical hearing students complain that the lessons pot lights they reviewed were not inluded in the questionnaire. Consult your professors on chapters you should concentrate on, or request for the scope of the examination. This is to help you manage time, and organize tasks.  Revisit lessons and do not just read. Answer practice exercises.

Be a news junkie

Switch channels to news programs. It pays knowing what is happening around. After all, you would not want to get surprised with the sudden price increase of crude oil. Hearing news will help you understand and trace practical applications of the fundamentals you are taught in school.

Economics degree holders are like prophets, only that they do not use crystall balls in drawing predictions. They analyze market trends, and generate conclusions based on economic concepts and theories. Their expertise makes them capable of providing research paper help, and suggesting effective essay topics to economics students. Keep in mind the four tips given above to excel in your economics class, and become a scholarly prophet.

The World of Technology Meets the World of Education

August 9th, 2011 | kissdiana77

Is technology compatible with education?

Technology made everything easier. If you are asked to reproduce a good essay sample, you do not have to rewrite it. All you have to do is  print another copy. No sweat. But as the coin has two faces, so is technology.

Benefits

Multimedia presentations add life to discussions. Not all students absorb lessons easily by merely listening to instructors giving lectures. Some may find this type of teaching boring. The use of powerpoint presentation, for instance, gives a new twist to the conventional teaching style.

The integration of video streaming and film viewing, aside from interesting, can also attract all types of learners, from those who grasp information faster by reading good essay or listening, to those who digest concepts best while doing at the same time doing something.

Virtual classrooms encourage everyone’s participation. Those dominating the class during discussions are the aggressive and outspoken students. The shy are often the inferior ones.  With the advent of virtual classrooms, everybody can feel comfortable expressing themselves. Students who are not used to speaking in public may find this favorable. They can come up with a good essay and have it published in online class forums.

Drawbacks

There is lack of soft skill trainings. There is also a danger to virtual classroom, and that is the insuffiency of soft skills application. Soft skills refer to attributes that are different from, but as important as the technical skills. One example of soft skills is the ability to communicate effectively, both oral and written.

Employers today are after applicants who possess soft and hard skills. Students have to be trained to share their thoughts, work with a team, and listen actively to discussions.

The less privileged gets left behind. Technology comes at a cost. Computers and Internet access are available to those who can afford it. Students from regions that are not yet

technologically-advanced have to rent computers to research, and be able to write a good essay.

In a Nutshell,

Technology modified people’s way of living, and learning. It can simplify the process of acquiring knowledge, but at the same time, can also be alarming.

Going Green, for Reel or for Real?

May 27th, 2011 | kissdiana77

It is hard to spot good intentions nowadays.

Environmental-themed topics are very common nowadays and the topic about who is truly “green” always come nagging.  As an essay writer, this angle is something interesting yet hard to substantiate. These so-called “green” companies are really hard to identify and more difficult to be enemies with. Almost all multi-national companies have their environment-friendly policies but still the question of if they really mean those or are they just in it for the money lingers. An informed essay writer knows that every claim should have proof.  And answering this all-time question with just a simple Yes or No might draw some unwanted attention but then again, one has to choose, eventually.

Green pretenders

The first line that this essay writer pointed out is that it is quite hard to sense who really has the best intentions. And this is so because while the world has finally awaken to be greener, there are some companies who pose as “green” enthusiasts. These pretenders go to great PR lengths to let the business community know that they are in the green revolution but behind close doors, they are just doing it for the hacking-kaching.

There’s good in everybody

First, let us try to see the good in everyone. At the end of the day, even the most profit-oriented-take-no-prisoner CEOs are bugged by their conscience to do something about the debilitating health of mother nature.  My answer that these “green” companies do really want to implement measures that would be beneficial for the environment, but are, however, paralyzed by resources and short-sighted goals.  Manufacturers of hazardous materials have the moral dilemma of where to dump the wastes that are used to create electricity for millions of people in a city or in a country, as in the case of Japan.  There can never really be a free ride to companies as waste materials are unwanted by-products. Not to appear as a idealist, there are, however, guiltless or conscience-less business people who do not give a dent if what they produce negatively affects the ozone layer or the ocean or the soil.  Instead of investing on “greener” materials, they lean towards buying substandard ones in order to save.  This is where the short-sighted argument springs from.

It pays to be selfless

It is high time that we all be reminded of the pressing dangers of not going green.  As the old adage goes, our children are the ones who will suffer for whatever mishaps we will consciously do. This maybe an old-world value nowadays, but at the end of the day, acting without thinking what is in it for us is the one that will motivate companies to not be short-sighted, to think not think of the greater good, but think what is good, period.

Will still believe

We all still hope, even if we don’t want to, that these self-proclaimed “green” companies are in it for the long haul and not because of the profit. Maybe we just need another essay writer on another block to nudge those high-earning companies to stop and think about what lies ahead.
